Kiana is a proud 20 year resident of Mesa, Arizona. Kiana has been married for 23 years and is the mother of two college-age daughters, who are products of Mesa Public Schools and are currently attending Arizona State University. Kiana has always been an engaged parent, from teaching “Art Masterpiece” to participating in the Parent Teacher Organizations at her children’s schools, to hosting  student foreign exchanges for the last 20 years.  Her educational background includes a BA in Interpersonal and Intercultural Communication and a Masters of Public Administration from Arizona State University.

Kiana is public servant, socially-conscious community leader, and advocate for access to educational resources and opportunity for all children. She credits her hardworking mother, a state employee, for her dedication to serving others, an unwavering faith in God, and the ability to improve lives of others by making a personal investment. She truly believes an investment in education reaps tremendous benefits for our community, in the form of even lower crime levels, decreased poverty, an improvement in economic development, as well as attracting high paying jobs for our children.
